Still, I would argue that this is exactly what unions are for: to agitate; to make management feel uncomfortable; to refocus the issues on the workers; and to remind people that the power of organized labor is useless if you don’t use it.
FCA and Juventus are t wo separate economic entities with overlapping ownership. (The Agnelli family owns apprx 30% of FCA and controls another 14% for voting purposes, but FCA is a publicly traded company. The family holds apprx 60% of Juventus shares, which also is a publicly traded company.) Let’s applaud the union, though. Honestly, to me this is like Trump going after Amazon because the WaPost is “ fake news” and is controlled Bezos, who owns a big chunk of Amazon. Both actions are stupid. Almost as stupid as Mitsubishi making the Eclipse into a crossover.

...did you make this post purely to vent about the Eclipse?

THIS is the main site, as far as I’m concerned.
Discussing politics on Kinja is simple as long as you recognize that no matter what, you’ll be told that you're wrong . Always.

In general this is why I pick and choose what I read on the the ex-gawker sites anymore. I’m tired of having the politics of the editor or the author being shoved in my face every time I read something. I prefer the old news model of facts only in the news section as much as possible and editorial opinions on the OpEd page.
Of course, in reality there has always been bias in all news to some extent, but at least there used to be the fiction of an effort to appear unbiased.
“But, this is a blog, not a news outlet!” Yeah, but that’s just an excuse many bloggers use to justify being untrained, biased, and/or un professional in today’s online news market. The bloggers use that excuse one minute to justify writing any opinion they want while in the next minute screaming “free press!” and expecting (and getting) press passes just like trained journalists .
Wow, that turned into kind of a generalized rant really fast, didn’t it? Sorry, back to car stuff and shitposts now.

The politics seems like a really convenient segue

You don’t have to be so polite. You can just say that the front page is dumb and should be avoided at all costs
